New KA2 Project: MORALSTEAM - Video game for moral education and STEAM development

MORALSTEAM - Video game for moral education and STEAM development – is the newly approved Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership (KA2) by Planet Alive in which ELA is partner!
The project partners will be facing the challenging issue of how to increase students' interest in STEAM topics (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics), while training them to Moral Education. The main goal of the project is to create effective open code tools for Moral Education and STEAM development for 10-14 y.o. pupils. To this end, the main Intellectual Output produced during MORALSTEAM will be a decision-making video game accessible through virtual platforms.

MORALSTEAM - Video game for moral education and STEAM development - è il progetto di partenariato strategico Erasmus+ (KA2) recentemente approvato e coordinato da Planet Alive in cui ELA è partner!
I partner del progetto affronteranno la sfida di come aumentare l'interesse degli studenti per gli argomenti STEAM (Scienza, Tecnologia, Ingegneria, Arte, Matematica), affrontando allo stesso tempo temi di educazione all'etica e ai valori. L'obiettivo principale del progetto è creare strumenti digitali efficaci per l'educazione morale e lo sviluppo di STEAM per alunni tra i 10 e i 14 anni. A tal fine, il principale output intellettuale prodotto durante MORALSTEAM sarà un videogioco decisionale accessibile attraverso piattaforme virtuali.

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has forced many schools to resort to distance learning through the use of digital tools, a forced transition which cought many teachers unprepared. In the last months, ELA staff has helped several Italian schools and institutions to set up their Google Suite platforms and many teachers to become more familiar with them. This powerful set of digital tools is a perfect example of how technology can turn challenges into opportunities. When we decided to design the new Erasmus+ Course “Discover the power of Google Suite for Education” we were indeed determined to offer our help in empowering more teachers at the European level to effectively use these tools in education, besides creating new opportunities for those willing to discover them.
