CoCo is KA2 Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project coordinated by CRN in Germany and in which ELA is involved as a partner organisation. CoCo is seeking to create behavioral change of European citizens towards more conscious and green consumption patterns. Moreover, the project will aim to ensure trustworthy information on products, and to strengthen consumer protection against commercial practices such as greenwashing and premature obsolescence.
One of the project results will be the creation of a serious game integrating information on three of the most consumed product groups and raising awareness of what those malpractices mean for citizens. Working on the topic of conscious consumption, will advance the learners in competences such as environmental, financial and critical thinking skills. |

In order to reach the main objective of the project, the partnership will create and develop 3 Results:
R1: Hybrid educative game
The main project result will be to create a serious game through which adults can learn how they can change their consumption patterns towards a more sustainable form and how their choice can help to fight climate change. The game will focus on three areas: food, clothing and furniture, as these are the three groups of products European consumers spend most money on. The game will connect physical elements and actions with digital elements, making it a truly blended game, which is innovative for educational games, especially for adults.
CoCo aims to create a Serious Game which will combine two different forms; an on-line part and a physical one. |
R2: Knowledge vault on conscious consumption
The knowledge vault is the platform which will be used to host the free to download educational material, the print and play version of the serious game, the e-learning content and the digital aspect of the serious game. The vault will contain the knowledge base for learners and educators to learn more on sustainable consumption. Thus the vault will contain materials, links to websites, methods, articles collected and stored in all project languages.

R3: Facilitators guide
This Project Result aims to combine elements of both previous PRs into a Facilitator’s Guide which will be capable of providing all the knowledge base required for a trainer to gain understanding in both the concepts of a CoCo collected in the vault (PR1) and the use and learning elements of the Serious Game (PR2). The guide aims to serve as an official project deliverable for trainers wishing to enhance their training material on the topic. The guide will be comprehensive and easy to use, providing practical information for the support of trainers of training activities on sustainable consumption with a special focus on socio-economic disadvantaged communities.
